In addition to our main reception and administration offices, the school features state-of-the-art training rooms including beauty therapy rooms, laser and intense pulsed light rooms, a lecture theatre, and the student hub.
Our beauty therapy rooms are specifically designed and equipped for course components including makeup, facials, waxing, massage and tanning. Our equipment is high quality, brand new, and upgraded regularly.
Our laser rooms have also been created to meet safety regulations and enhance the learner experience. All of our training rooms have been designed with space and quality in mind.

Our Braddon campus also offers our Student Salon where students have the chance to provide treatments to paying customers under the supervision of our educators and trainers.
ACTI’s Braddon campus is conveniently located close to public transport and Canberra’s city centre. We are moments away from the light rail service and a public bus station is right outside our door. Parking is available only a short walk away.
Canberra has an excellent public transport system servicing the entire ACT area. Canberra has very short commute times and an extensive bike paths and bus networks all over the city. Our students are often eligible for student concessions and discounts on public transport:
Construction is well underway for Canberra’s light rail network. Our training school is located only moments away from the nearest light rail tram stop.
Taxis and Uber services are readily available throughout the city and across Canberra
The bicycle paths around Canberra connect to various amenities, major locations and town centres
Canberra’s bus network is reliable and services the entire ACT. The public bus system has a convenient bus stop directly in front of the training school.
Park you car only a short distance away from our training school. Paid parking is available on Mort Street and next to the Canberra Centre.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much can I expect to be paid once I am qualified?
Qualified Diploma-level Beauty Therapists are paid under the Hair and Beauty Industry Award [MA000005]. The award wage for Beauty Therapists ranges between $45,000-65,000 per annum. Refer to www.fairwork.gov.au for more information.
Will my qualifications be recognised?
Australian Capital Training Institute is currently undergoing the registration process with Australian Skills Quality Authority. Upon successful registration, all courses will be nationally recognised in Australia.
Do you provide employment upon completion of courses?
ACTI does not provide you with employment upon completion of training. We can provide a reference for you only. We have close links with some employers and could refer you.
I am currently working as a beauty therapist. Can I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning?
You can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and it is available to all students who feel they are eligible. After completing the necessary documentation, your application will be assessed. For more information, contact ACTI on 02 6176 3411.

Do you offer VET Loans?
Australian Capital Training Institute does not currently offer VET Student Loans, however we can point you in the direction of a range of financial institutions that offer student loans. Visit Investment & Fees for more information.
Do you offer Nationally Recognised Training?
ACTI is undergoing the application process with ASQA to offer accredited training.
Are your courses Internationally recognised?
We are currently undergoing registration with ASQA. Once approved, ACTI will be looking to have our courses accredited with international study groups so courses can are recognised overseas as well as in Australia.

50% of course fee to be paid prior to semester commencing
50% of course fee to be paid on the commencement of second semester.
A non-refundable administration fee of $500 will be charged after successfully completing our application process to continue with the enrolment process.
